My goal

My goal is to teach those who want to take positive steps towards becoming a healthier, happier person but maybe don’t know where to start or have tried in the past without much success. Or maybe you did succeed but the way you succeeded ultimately meant that success couldn’t be sustained. I want to be able to teach you all the skills and knowledge you need to not only succeed, but to maintain that success by teaching you the facts about calorie consumption, how to workout effectively, how to create good habits and deter bad habits, and to do it all in a way that feels manageable, achievable and something that becomes part of your life.

About me

I graduated with a degree in Sports Studies in 2001 and also became a level 3 Personal Trainer at the same time. I have worked in the fitness industry as a fitness instructor and personal trainer for over 20 years and I have also completed the ITEC level 3 course in Sports Massage.

my story

Like many people, I never had to worry about gaining weight in my younger years. However, as the years went by and life became busier, the pounds started to creep on. Whilst I had always exercised and played sports, I had let this slip so I started going to the gym and jogging again but I could never get the results I was looking for. There was one thing I had never done though and that was to be fully accountable for what I ate. It started with weighing the porridge oats I had for breakfast every morning and the more I worked out exactly what I was eating, the more it became apparent what was holding me back. By being fully accountable for my nutrition in conjunction with following a resistance based training programme and walking 45 minutes 3-4 times a week, I lost 9kg. I now have complete control over the way I look and feel… and so can you!

Sports massage

Sports massage uses a mixture of massage techniques and passive and assisted stretches as well as soft tissue release, myofascial release and neuromuscular techniques to treat problematic areas and imbalances in soft tissue caused by repetitive and strenuous physical activity. Sports massage can help to maintain correct posture and keep soft tissues in a healthy, free flowing state. Sports massage can also be used to reduce the risk of injuries and to aid the recovery of pre-existing injuries.

As well as massage for general maintenance, the following conditions that can possibly benefit from Sports Massage include:
